How To: Installing Interactive Brokers Software (Overview)

This article is for users who plan to use Interactive Brokers (IB) to serve data to NeoTicker®, and/or placing order to IB from NeoTicker®.
This tutorial guides you through the steps to install IB software so that NeoTicker® can work with IB. IB software can be tricky to install. So please follow the steps carefully.
Prerequisite
None.
Goal
After you complete this tutorial, you will have IB TWS installed on your computer. TWS will be ready to accept connections from NeoTicker®.
Things to Do
There are four things to do in order to install Interactive Brokers software before NeoTicker® can receive data and send orders from/to Interactive Brokers.
- Installing Interactive Brokers’ Trader Workstation Software
- Installing Java Runtime Environment (JRE) (you may not need this step if your computer is already running Java)
- Enabling TWS to Accept Connections
